Steve Becher

 

Coach of the Year: 2006-2007 & 2007-2008

Head Coach, Steve Becher is entering his fifth year coaching the Lake Washington Kangaroos.  He has grown the program from 6 wrestlers to a full team in a short amount of time.  Previously, he helped the Woodinville Falcons Wrestling Program before taking the Head Coach position at Lake Washington High School.  Coach Becher started wrestling at Monroe Middle School.  He went on to wrestle at Monroe High School and participated in the USA Everett Freestyle Wrestling Club.  During these years, he placed twice in Freestyle State Wrestling and placed twice in the High School State Tournament.  After graduating High School he wrestled at Yakima Valley Community College.   
   
Jesse Riojas

 

Assistant Coach of the Year: 2006-2007

Assistant Coach, Jesse Riojas is entering his third season as a Kangaroo Coach.  He came to Lake Washington  from the wrestling program at Eastlake.  Coach Riojas grew up wrestling in Othello, Washington.  His Senior year he went 31-0 and won the State Championship at 103 pounds. His 26 years of coaching experience will help grow the Kang Wrestling Program.
